Tanya Sidawi-Ostojic has over two decades of experience working in the domain of family business. She understands well, the depth and complexities that face organizations and the psychological challenges that can often plague businesses.
Ardent for the psychology behind organizational change, that led her to facilitate
individuals and organizations in their own unique journeys through change. She believes in overcoming obstacles; “it is not easy most of the time, but there are many ways to reaching positive outcomes, change can be successful!”
With a proven record in leadership and years of experience in management coaching, she successfully applies holistic practices grounded in the science of Industrial-Organizational Psychology while helping businesses transition to meet ever-changing needs.
Tanya is an avid researcher and her interests span: Organizational Development and Behavior, Occupational Health Psychology, Occupational Neuropsychology; a subarea of neuropsychology that addresses neurocognitive consequences of the work environment, and overall individual and organizational efficacy.
Her personal mission is to better understand human behavior while implementing organizational change that supports a psychologically healthy work environment.
Tanya has enjoyed a vibrant professional career with an extensive background in International wholesale tourism, and years operating a niche marketing and design company. Tanya was a proud recipient of a Rising Star (1999) award honoring ‘The Top Young travel industry Professionals’ 35 and under for her exceptional leadership in the travel industry.
Tanya received an undergraduate degree from Long Island University and received her graduate degree from the Touro College and University System with honors in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Summa Cum Laude (2013).
She is currently a co-chair of the communications committee for the Society for Occupational Health Psychology (SOHP) and has been elected for a two-year term through 2017. She is passionate about research, development and communications and actively manages a dynamic online presence, relating to health, well-being and safety at work.
Tanya is an active Associate Member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and is one of APA’s ‘go-to’ experts for national news media. She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Society for Occupational Health Psychology (SOHP), and the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP).
She currently lives in upstate New York.
