On May 15, McKinsey & Company published an article, “Reimagining the post-pandemic organization.” Widely regarded as a global thought leader, and somewhat guiding light for consulting firms in general, many organizations eagerly waited for a strategic announcement from them regarding what to do next.
About a month earlier, on April 17, Psynet Group discussed its plan for helping clients navigate the pandemic based on a reorganizational process we’ve been using with clients for the prior 12-18 months. We were pleased to discover that both approaches shared several similarities.
Answer Three Questions
McKinsey says that most importantly, organizations must be intensely introspective and answer these key questions: Who are we? How do we operate? How will we grow?
- Who We Are encourages organizations to examine their purpose, value, and culture. Psynet Group focuses on organizational purpose, values, and personality.
- How We Operate addresses structure, talent, and decisions. Psynet Group initially looks at business processes, systems, procedures, and structure. Secondarily, we evaluate talent better than anyone in the market using our proprietary Psybil®️ assessment. Thirdly, we flatten organizational structures and push down decision making to the lowest capable individual.
- How We Grow addresses learning, platforms, and eco-systems. Ultimately, Psynet Group helps businesses optimize outcomes using technology that gathers the right data and PhD-level consultants who facilitate the organizational restructuring process. Additionally, we create a true ‘learning organization’ through critical examination of the feedback system. This allows companies to adapt rapidly to internal obstacles and unforeseen external environmental changes.
Psynet Group is a preeminent technology and organizational consulting firm comprised of doctorally educated individuals with a background in psychology as well as business. We are confident and unafraid to be first movers in guiding businesses during these uncertain times.
