Dave Popple, PhD, Founder & President
Dave has fifteen years of experience working with companies that range in size from 5 to 80K employees. He designed the Psybil® Platform, built the current assessment suite, and worked with academics to validate the tool.
He believes that the key to building a better way to assess people required understanding a diverse number of subjects. Therefore he took courses in entrepreneurialism, design thinking, finance, sociology, neurology, business, and psychology, and integrated these disciplines into the development of the Psybil® Assessment.
Bryce Homyk, PhD, Senior Consultant
Bryce has over a decade of experience working with people and organizations in a variety of spaces, including finance, technology, education, healthcare, and clinical psychology. He helps high-profile organizations and dynamic individuals with strategic change, facilitating operational effectiveness, administrating state-of-the art assessments, and introspective executive coaching.
He finds inherent value in the collaborative feedback process, as well as through partnership with highly intelligent clients and talented peers.
Jody Popple, PhD, Director of Family Business Services & Women’s Leadership Development
Jody has over 20 years of experience in human behavior and human systems through her work as a licensed psychologist. As a part time consultant for Psynet beginning in 2006, she took on a diverse group of clients ranging from an international mining company to local family owned businesses.
In 2016, she joined the team full time. With her expertise in family systems, she built Psynet’s Family Business Services. Since 2018 has been focusing on developing the women’s leadership division. She received certification in Organizational Development at Columbia University.
Kristin Backstrom, PhD, Senior Consultant
Kristin delivers value to clients by helping them become more effective in translating CEO/leadership strategy into action, and through their acquisition of the competencies and skills needed in future leaders to meet CEO and organizational goals. This makes them extremely valuable employees, and rising stars in any company.

His education includes an MBA from Henley Management College in London as well as executive programs at Stanford, IMD in Switzerland and a Strategic Master Class at Templeton College, University of Oxford UK.
Brandon Young, PhD, Senior Consultant
Brandon has over fifteen years of experience helping organizations identify and build sustainable solutions to their most pressing behavioral business challenges. He makes teams and organizations smarter by measuring what matters, and more productive through evidence-based assessments and feedback processes.
Brandon believes people are multi-faceted and have a fundamental need to do a good job. Consequently, he values a whole-person approach to assessment — and treats motivation as a process an organization goes through with people, not something an organization does to people.
Scott Kerr, PhD, Senior Consultant
His philosophy is that learning about oneself should be structured, engaging, fun and safe. To this end, he uses a wide variety of techniques including assessment, peer coaching, video review, and group dynamics to help his participants own their development and internalize the desire and skills to be self-directing.
Scott has over 30 years of experience working with central government and global corporations in the areas of assessment, leadership development and executive coaching. Trained in the US and UK, with a doctorate from Edinburgh University, he is widely published in his primary focus areas of high potential development, emotional intelligence, and coaching to develop resilient leadership.
Ray Cataloni, Vice President Sales – Northeast Region
Ray has over 20 years experience in sales leadership. Before joining Psynet Group, he was with Monster Worldwide where he had a successful 15 year career, working with firms ranging from small VCs to the Fortune 500.
While at Monster, he learned from company leaders, human resources executives, and hiring managers the struggles they face with attracting and retaining good employees, and he is able to bring this knowledge and insight to serve Psynet Group clients.
John Murray, Vice President Sales – Central Region
John has over 20 years experience in both the financial services and hospitality industries. He has created and led a number of both sales and product management teams.
John was originally a client who went through assessments with Dr Popple and was so impressed he decided to join the team. His passion for getting the right people in the right roles drives him to share the Psybil platform with as many organizations as possible.
Shane Doherty, Vice President Sales – Worldwide & US Western Region
Shane is the crucial bridge between Psynet Group and its clients. He is instrumental in identifying, contacting, and building relationships with firms that would most benefit from the talent services we provide. Whether it is low touch products like Psybil or high touch services like organizational consulting, he knows where we can provide the most value.
Far from being a transactional leader, Shane trades in relationships and focuses first on our clients needs and the rest falls into place. He draws on his prior experience working with senior executives throughout the US, UK, and western Europe, during his 12 years hosting business development and networking events. This experience has given him results in a deep understanding of human resources, learning & development, talent management, acquisition, and retention.
Luiz Celso, Senior Developer
Luiz is a computer scientist specialized in software engineering. He is driven to understand and help society by developing computational solutions.
Through his work to improve our Psybil Assessment, he believes he is helping people to have better quality opportunities at work, which motivates him in the continuous search to help others.
Ricardo Corassa, Software Engineer
Ricardo is a computer engineer and has experience in architecture and development of solutions using data analysis. His career has included founding a data analysis startup in Brazil and large database consulting in France.
He is continuously enhancing our Psybil Assessment to provide users the best, easiest way to tell their stories. He believes in technology as a tool for psychology and is researching how to apply machine learning to better serve our clients.
