Premium Coaching Engagement
What does it mean to have a Premium Coaching Engagement?
The coaching industry is expanding exponentially, resulting in various skill levels and quality among coaches. Parallel to the increase in coaches is a deepening crisis among high-functioning professionals and executives. The current leadership trend reveals an increase in burnout turnover and a decrease in essential skills. The solution requires talented, experienced, and educated coaches.
Psynet Group (PG) Coaches understand people learn best when they discover for themselves. This is a “Learning through Discovery” approach. Our coaches are all Psychologists who understand the neuroscience of change. Psynet Group Coaches are steeped in Differentiation of Self Theory.
This approach was primarily shaped by an understanding of human systems theory and focuses on leaders developing three main areas of themselves:
- Being self-differentiated
- Being non-anxious
- Being present with those who follow
Self-differentiated leaders have:
- The capacity to separate themselves from surrounding emotional processes
- The resilience to continue despite significant pressure and anxiety.
- The ability to maintain logic and reason in emotional situations.
- The capacity to understand and communicate one’s principles and vision.
- The commitment to act on core principles despite pressure to act counter to them.
- The willingness and courage to be exposed and vulnerable.
- The persistence to face resistance to change.
- The self-regulation of emotions in the face of reactive sabotage by others.
Human Systems theory informs the coaching practices of consultants who work with the highest echelons of businesses and government. Increasing self-differentiation is complex and difficult but is the cornerstone of all other leadership practices.
Comparing Standard Approaches with a Premium Approach
The following comparison table is meant to inform decision-making between coaching methodologies.
The standard coaching column reflects the teaching of the leading coaching certification programs. It is not definitive and not all standard coaching practices will align completely. Therefore it is meant to be a guide.
Our coaches’ additional doctoral-level psychological expertise allows them to take a deeper approach to building self-difference and leadership presence.
